Old Terrebonne and heritage homes: cleaning without changing anything
Old Terrebonne is a heritage site declared by the Government of Québec (Répertoire du patrimoine culturel du Québec). Washing windows and emptying gutters is maintenance: according to the City of Terrebonne’s list (2026-07-09), normal maintenance that does not change the exterior appearance is exempt from a works declaration. We clean, we empty, we leave.
A repair is another story: in a declared heritage site, repairing or changing the appearance of a building requires authorization. We then refer you to the City’s Direction de l’urbanisme durable before any work.
Near the Rivière des Mille Îles, water at the foot of the wall is taken seriously
The City of Terrebonne monitors the level of the Rivière des Mille Îles during heavy rain and the thaw, and hands out sandbags (City of Terrebonne, River status and flood risk). It also subsidizes backwater valves, up to $200, and sump pumps, up to $250 (City of Terrebonne, Backwater valves and sump pumps).
A clogged gutter sends water over the edge, at the foot of the wall. A downspout that empties against the foundation does the same. It is not something to neglect.

What factors influence the price of your quote?
Every house is different. That is why we can’t give you a fixed price without seeing it. Here are the factors we assess during your free quote.
Size and height
A two-storey house needs more equipment than a single-storey one. The bigger and taller the property, the longer the job takes.
Gutter condition
A few dry leaves, or a full gutter that is already overflowing: the more neglected it is, the longer the job.
Number and type of windows
The number of windows, how accessible they are and their type affect the cleaning time.
